Box Score 2 GREENSBORO, N.C. - Isabella Smith and Georgeanna Barefoot tossed complete game shutouts as Campbell earned a doubleheader sweep over North Carolina A&T Saturday at the Aggie Softball Complex.
Campbell (19-11, 7-4) picks up its fifth straight win while North Carolina A&T (12-20, 2-9) fall for the sixth time in its past seven outings.
Campbell 6, NC A&T 0 - Game One
Noemi Cortez went 2-for-2 with a home run while Lindsey Hunt went 2-for-3 with two RBI to back up another gem in the circle by Isabella Smith.
Campbell tallied five runs in the second inning after NC A&T's starting pitcher S'Nyiah Stinson loaded the bases with three straight walks with no outs. Hunt's single down the left field line drove in two runs while pinch runner Jordan Blake added another run on a wild pitch. Diana Parker drove in the final two runs in the inning on her hit up the middle.
Smith (8-5) tossed her fourth complete game shutout of the season, allowing two hits while tying her career-best with 12 strikeouts in the win.
Campbell 2, NC A&T 0 - Game Two
Campbell struck first as Diana Parker doubled, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt from Claudia Ware and scored on a sacrifice fly from Delaney McDilda.
Cortez later added a solo home run, her second of the day, in the sixth inning.
Georgeanna Barefoot (9-3) tossed a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out nine batters.
D. Parker went 3-for-3 batting from the leadoff spot in the lineup with one run and one stolen base.
