ROCK HILL, S.C. - Audrey Fuller scored a career-high 20 points to lead Campbell to a 53-40 win over Winthrop Saturday afternoon at Winthrop Coliseum.
A sophomore guard from Brisbane, Australia, Fuller knocked down a career best six 3-pointers along with four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.
Campbell (10-7, 5-1) took over in the fourth quarter, outscoring Winthrop (3-13, 1-3) 22-7 in the final period.
Fuller and Erika Joseph each knocked down a pair of 3-pointers as part of a 14-0 run to open the fourth quarter. The Camels extended its lead to as many as 18 on Fuller's sixth 3-pointer with 1:13 remaining.
Winthrop, which led by as many as seven and maintained a lead for over 23 minutes, had five turnovers and made only 3-of-12 shots in the fourth.
Fuller scored 17 second-half points on 5-of-8 shooting from behind the arc.
Brittany Staves added nine points, nine rebounds and six assists while Christabel Ezumah added seven points and eight rebounds for the Camels who have won five of their last six games.
The Camels scored 16 points off 15 turnovers and held Winthrop to 28.1 percent (16-57) shooting from the field and 26.7 percent (4-15) shooting from behind the arc.
Jada Ryce led Winthrop with 12 points while Paige Powell added 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Camels return to action Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off at Radford.
