Logan Livermon,
Caleb Perez and
Jack Wilkes have all been named to the 2023 NCAA Division I Academic All-District Football team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The organization recognizes the nation's top student-athletes with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of a 3.5 or higher for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom.
Livermon, a sport management major with a focus on sport communication, totaled six tackles during his 2023 season, including 1.0 stop for loss, also serving as a special teams staple throughout the year. A redshirt sophomore linebacker from Midlothian, Va., Livermon earned Big South Presidential Honor Roll accolades last season.
Perez, and offensive lineman from Mount Dora, Fla., help solidify a group that ranked No. 2 in the FCS in pass blocking efficiency (93.2), according to PFF. The redshirt junior, who is a multi-year Big South Presidential Honor Roll member, is majoring in biology (pre-med), and was recently accepted into medical school.
Wilkes, meanwhile, repeated as a CSC Academic All-District honoree after earning the award last season. The redshirt senior linebacker from Charlotte, N.C. is a trust and wealth management major, Wilkes posted a career-best 22 tackles in 2023, including a stop for loss against Delaware, where he posted a season-high five tackles, also breaking up a pass with two tackles in a win at North Carolina A&T to close the season.
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced January 23, 2024.
