JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - Campbell's 4x100m relay team punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships on the third day of the NCAA East Preliminaries at Visit Jax Track.
The 4x100m relay team of Dominique Alexander, Andre Bent, Jamal Miller and Jamel Miller qualified for the NCAA Championships after finishing third in their heat with a time of 39.70. It marks the first national meet appearance for all four Camels.
Bent later posted a personal best 10.17 in the 100m but missed out on qualifying for nationals. Both Jamel Miller (20.54) and Alexander (20.70) failed to qualify for nationals in the 200m.
C.J. McBride narrowly missed out on advancing to nationals in the high jump with a mark of 2.09m ( ) and the triple jump with a best mark of 15.63m (51' 3.5"). Andre Douglas also competed in the triple jump, posting a mark of 15.33m (50' 3.5).
Campbell closes out the NCAA East Prelims tomorrow as Chastity Pickett (100m hurdles, 400m hurdles), Dorcus Ewoi (800m) and Patience Marshall (discus) look to clinch spots in the NCAA Championships.
