Three Camels take Big South weekly honors

Alexander, Ewoi and McBride claim weekly conference honors once again

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Dominique Alexander, Dorcus Ewoi and C.J. McBride have earned Big South weekly honors for their performances at the East Coast Relays, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Alexander, who was named men's track athlete of the week, broke his own 100 meters school record with a time of 10.11, a time that ranks tied for 17th fastest in the country. Alexander was also part of Campbell's 4x100m relay team that finished with a time of 39.40, ranking tied for 27th fastest nationally. Additionally, he ran a time of 20.37 in the 200 meters which ranks tied for the 64th fastest in the nation.

Ewoi was named women's track athlete of the week after she ran a season-best time of 2:03.51 in the 800 meters, ranking as the 18th fastest nationally.

McBride earned men's field athlete of the week honors broke the program and Big South record in the men's triple jump with his mark of 16.00 meters (52' 6"). He also finished third in the high jump after clearing 2.13 meters (6' 11.75").

Campbell returns to action next week at the Big South Championships held in Rock Hill, S.C.
