RICHMOND, VA. – Erik Johansson tied for 15th individually and Campbell finished 13th on the team leader board after Tuesday's final round of the VCU Shootout at the Country Club of Virginia Tuckahoe Creek course.
 
One of three freshmen in the season-opening Camel lineup, Johansson played his final 36 holes at 7-under and finished the three-round event at six-under-par (73-68-69—210).  Sophomore Tim Holmberg (73-69-72—214) tied for 33rd, while junior Henric Bjelke (69-76-74—219) tied for 57th in the 84-golfer field. 
 
Freshmen Joachim Larsen Tegner (76-75-72—223) and Petter Dale (73-74-80—227) tied for 72nd and 78th, respectively.
 
Johansson was 3-under on the par-4 holes and played the par fives at 5-under.  Holmberg was 6-under on the par-5 layouts and even on the par-3s, as was Dale.  Larsen Tegner made 38 pars.
 
As a team, Campbell finished 3-under par (288-286-287—861).  James Madison (272-277-282—831) and Lipscomb (274-279-278—831) tied for top honors in the 15-team event at 33-under par.
 
JMU's Daniel Cheng (64-67-69—200) was the individual medalist at 16-under.
 
Campbell returns to action Oct. 1-3 in the Badger Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin at University Ridge GC.
