Series History
The Camels and Tigers are meeting for the first time in nearly 30 seasons. The two met eight times from 1980-94, splitting the matchups evenly at 4-4. The sides have not met since 1994, when they were meeting twice a year for three seasons. Campbell is still in search of its first road win in the series, going 0-4 thus far at Towson.
Know Your Opponent
Towson enters the weekend 10-8, 3-2 in the league. The Tigers played a tough non-conference schedule that included games with Colorado, No. 6 Houston, and Wake Forest. So far in league play they own wins over UNCW, Stony Brook, and at Charleston on Thursday night.
Christin May averages 11.8 ppg, leading four players averaging double-figure scoring. Nendah Tarke ticks up to average a team-best 13.2 in league play. Charles Thompson leads the efforts on the glass with 8.1 rebounds per game.
Towson was voted to finish fifth in the CAA preseason poll. They are led by 14
th-year head coach Pat Skerry.
Last Time Out
Dell'Orso and Vaistaras combined for 47 points on 77% shooting as Campbell downed William & Mary 77-64. The Camels shot better than 60% in both halves and 62% for the game, doing most of their damage right at the rim.
CU dished out 21 assists on 34 made buckets, a season-high against a Division I opponent. Vaistaras and Sinani led that charge with six dimes each.
Campbell's efficiency at the net overgame a solid shooting performance from the Tribe, who knocked down 12 three-pointers on the night.
Looking Ahead
Campbell returns to The Creek Thursday night to host Elon. That game is an early tip at 5 p.m. and will be broadcast on national television on CBS Sports Network.
