Campbell hosts Charleston Saturday afternoon

BUIES CREEK – The Fighting Camels square off against the defending CAA tournament champions College of Charleston Saturday afternoon at Gore Arena.
 
Saturday is Campbell's annual Hall of Fame game. This year, five Campbell legends will be enshrined in a halftime ceremony. More about this year's Hall of Fame class can be found here.

Series History
The Camels and Cougars have met 17 times with Campbell going 4-13 in the series. Campbell has struggled in the series of late, having dropped the last 12 meetings. The sides were regular foes throughout the 1990s when both teams were members of the TAAC.
 
Know Your Opponent
Charleston brings a 14-6, 5-2 record into Saturday's game. After suffering back-to-back losses to Towson and UNCW, the Cougars rebounded with a 107-86 win Thursday night at Hampton and have now scored 90+ points in three of their seven CAA games.
 
Ante Brzovic leads the Cougars in both points (19.0) and rebounding (8.4) in league play, including a season-high 31 points in the last outing at Hampton.
 
The Cougars make about the most use of the three-point line in the country, averaging 31.4 three-point attempts per game, the third most in the country, and making 10 per game.  
 
Charleston was voted the league favorite in the preseason poll receiving 10 of the 14 first-place votes. They are led by third-year head coach Pat Kelsey.
 
Last Time Out
Campbell downed Elon 78-68 Thursday night at Gore Arena. Dell'Orso continued his hot streak with a 29 point, 9 rebound game. The sophomore has now scored 26+ in three of his last four games and has led the Camels in scoring and rebounding eight times this season.
 
The win moved Campbell to 4-3, as the Camels have now won four of their last six games.

Campbell faces a quick rematch with Elon, travelling to their place Thursday night at 7 p.m. That game will be streamed on FloHoops.
