Inglemon signs with Camels

BUIES CREEK - Rashawn Inglemon has committed to Campbell. The 6'0" guard is the second Anderson player to follow head coach Jimmie Williams to The Creek.

"Rashawn is such a special person and player," Coach Williams said. "Our belief in each other stands out, and it's why we're taking on this exciting challenge together. Rashawn is one of the best shooters I've ever coached, but what makes him special is that he is fearless and has an incredibly high standard of excellence that he holds himself to. When we recruited him a year ago, he had zero offers, a year later we had to fend off what seemed like a million schools to get him. That's a credit to him and his work ethic and also the fit. How we play brings out and highlights his strengths as a player on both ends of the ball. There will be so many 'whoop whoops' in Gore Arena because of his hot hand. I'm so thankful I get to Coach him again. He will no doubt be a fan favorite around here. He makes friends quickly, and will fill the seats with people that not only love watching him play but love who he is."

Inglemon was named the SAC Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the all-SAC first team. He started all 32 games as a freshman and averaged a team-best 16.7 points per game for the Trojans, shooting 45% from beyond the arc (103-229). His 103 triples ranked second in the conference and tops among league rookies.

He poured in a season-high 36 against Tampa thanks to going 10-14 from beyond the arc, as one of 14 games with 20+ points. He got better as the season went on and saw his scoring tick up to 17.5 ppg in conference play.

The Sacramento, Calif. native was productive all over the court, also notching 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Inglemon logged six games with 6+ made three-pointers, and never attempted more than four in a game without a make. He ended is freshman campaign with a 47/45/87 shooting split.
