Camels finish 6th at Nemacolin Collegiate

Bjelke posts 2nd-straight top-10 finish

FARMINGTON, PA. – Henric Bjelke tied for sixth and Campbell finished sixth on the team leader board after Tuesday's final round of the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock Golf Club.
 
With four golfers among the top five, host West Virginia won the 14-team event at 2-over par (866), 12 shots better than runner up George Mason (878).  Seton Hall was third (883), followed by Richmond (885), Penn State (885) and the Camels (300-296-291—887).
 
Bjelke (75-72-70—217) logged his second-straight top 10 effort to start the season, finishing at one-over par on the 7526-yard Pete Dye layout.  He made 12 birdies over 54 holes and has played par, or better, golf in five of his first six rounds this year.
 
Sophomore Joachim Larsen Tegner was 12th (73-74-73—220) individually and posted his second-consecutive top 15 finish.  Fellow sophomore Erik Johansson (76-76-72—224) tied for 20th, senior Douglas Nordlof finished T33 (77-74-76—227) and freshman Benjamin Killingstad T54 (76-80-77—233).
 
Playing in rainy conditions for the final 36 holes, only five players in the 76-golfer field finished in red numbers.  Kaleb Wilson of West Virginia (71-68-70—209) finished at 7-under par, three shots better than teammates Ryan Leach and Todd Duncan.
 
The Camels finished ahead of fellow CAA members Delaware (8th), William & Mary (9th) and Towson (11th).  Campbell continues its schedule Oct. 14-15 in the Georgetown Intercollegiate at Echo Lake CC in Westfield, N.J.

The Course: Mystic Rock at Nemacolin (Par 72, 7526 Yards)
