Box Score BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Chrisjan Van Wyk's three-set win lifted visiting Gardner-Webb over Campbell 4-3 on Saturday at the Nisbet Tennis Center.

GWU moved to 9-2 on the season, while Campbell dropped to 5-5 overall, suffering its first home loss of the year.

The Runnin' Bulldogs picked up the doubles point with John Spring and Numa Lemieux-Monette's 7-6 (7-5) win, extending the lead to 3-0 with singles victories from Eduardo Dias (6-0, 7-5) and Kim Niethammer (6-3, 6-1).

Campbell, however, battled back with three straight decisions, with Pol Otin putting the Camels on the board with a 7-5, 6-0 win over Johan Van Wijk. Lukas Steffen followed with his come-from-behind three-set victory (4-6, 6-4, 6-4) over Numa Lemieux-Monette, and Benjamin Maes added another 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4) win over Alex Lepine to tie the match.

In the deciding match, GWU's Chrisjan Van Wyk and Campbell's Luke Tollenaar split their first two frames 6-4, 3-6 before Van Wyk claimed the third set 6-2 to seal the road win.

Next up, Campbell will head to UNCW on March 2.
