BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell softball will be playing Michigan State for the first time on Tuesday, February 27 at 4:00 PM. Michigan's head coach Sharonda McDonald-Kelley was the previous head coach at Campbell from 2019-2022. 

Michigan State is currently 6-9 overall for the season, with their losses being to Ohio, Marshall, Arkansas, Florida Atlantic, Boise State, Boston, Villanova and Duke. Sophomore Hannah Hawley is currently leading the team with a batting average of .372 with eight runs, three home runs, and seven RBIs. Senior pitcher Liv Grey has pitched 40.0 innings this season and has a 2.45 ERA, allowing 33 hits, 14 earned runs and 55 strikeouts. 

For the Camels, freshman Lindsay Lumsden is currently leading the team with a batting average of .394 with six runs, one home run and four RBIs. Freshman pitcher Megan Gregory has a 2.51 ERA in 22.1 innings pitched, allowing 21 hits, eight earned runs and six strikeouts. Hannah Leierer has 24 strikeouts in 39.1 innings pitched, and Isabella Smith has 36 strikeouts in 29.1 innings pitched.
