JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. – Heavy rain forced the suspension of play Monday at the Battle at Briar's Creek, hosted by the College of Charleston. As a result, the event will be shortened to 36 holes.
Campbell stood 4-under as a team through nine holes Monday. The opening round will resume at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday and be followed immediately by the second, and final, round. Live scoring is available at

Joachim Larsen Tegner (-3) and
Erik Johansson (-2) and sophomore
Tim Holmberg (-1) were in red numbers when play halted Monday. Juniors
Henric Bjelke and
Douglas Nordlof were 2-over and 3-over, respectively on the 7175-yard Rees Jones design.
Ten of the 14 teams in the field entered the event ranked among the nation's top 100 led by No. 23 Chattanooga and No. 45 Indiana. Campbell is one of four CAA members to participate in the Battle at Briar's Creek, including host College of Charleston (-3), Elon (E) and UNCW (+6). Clemson was 5-under as a team when weather forced Monday's stoppage.
