JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. –
Joachim Larsen Tegner tied for fourth individually and Campbell finished eighth in the team standings after Tuesday's final round of the Battle at Briar's Creek.
In a field where 10 of the 14 teams were ranked among the nation's top 100, the Camels finished ahead of UNCW (64), Virginia Tech (83), Nebraska (92) and Lipscomb (96), while also defeating power 5 conference members Boston College and Maryland. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes after heavy rain fell Monday at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek.
A freshman from Lier, Norway, Larsen Tegner produced his best collegiate finish (67-75—142) after tying for the tournament lead with 10 birdies. He made seven birdies in the first round, which was completed Tuesday morning, and finished second overall in par-5 scoring (-6).

Erik Johansson tied for 19th at 2-over 146 (72-74). He tied for third in the field in par-4 scoring (-1). Junior
Henric Bjelke led the 75-golfer event with 31 pars and tied for 35th (75-74—149) along with sophomore
Tim Holmberg (73-76—149), who was fourth on the par-3 holes (-2). Junior
Douglas Nordlof made 26 pars and tied for 39th (75-75—150).
Clemson won team honors at 1-under 575 (280-295), two shots ahead of the top-ranked team in the field, No. 23 Chattanooga (294-283—577). Ford Goldasich of Lipscomb was the individual medalist (71-69—140).
The Camels return to action with the Wolfpack Individual Invitational (Feb. 24-25) and the Schenkel Invitational (Mar. 15-17).
