WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – Oskar Antinheimo's tiebreak winner lifted No. 3 seed Elon over sixth-seeded Campbell in a marathon CAA Championship quarterfinal matchup Friday evening at the Mackesy Tennis Center.

Elon improves to 15-7 on the season, while the Camels finish the 2023-24 campaign, their first as a CAA member, 13-8 overall. With the win, the Phoenix advance to face second-seed Delaware on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The Blue Hens also defeated No. 7 seed Drexel 4-2 on Friday.

In a match that already saw a delayed start, play was then suspended and moved indoors due to inclement weather.

In the deciding matchup, Antinheimo claimed the first set 6-2 before Campbell's Lukas Steffen stormed back with a 6-3 victory to even the match. Knotted up a 6-6, then at 5-5 in the tiebreak, Antinheimo claimed five of the final six points to extend the Phoenix' season.

Elon claimed the doubles point to start the match with Ben Zipay and Juan Sengariz defeating Benjamin Maes and Lukas Steffen 6-4.

The Camels, however, responded with three straight singles wins, taking a 3-1 lead with Maes topping Daniel Martin (6-2, 6-3), Pol Otin downing Jack Curtis (6-4, 6-3) and Damien Nezar defeating Veljko Krstic (6-4, 7-5).

Elon battled back to tie the match a 3-3, with a three-set win for Juan Sengariz over Tomas Balazi (6-2, 3-6, 6-2), while Dylan Heap topped Luke Tollenaar (7-6 (5), 6-0) before Antinheimo's win.
