Miller brothers set for Jamaican Olympic trials

BUIES CREEK - Brothers Jamal and Jamel Miller will return home this week to take on Olympic trials for their home country of Jamaica. Jamal will run the 100m with Jamel running the 200m.

Trials run from Thursday through Sunday at Jamaica National Stadium in Kingston.

The duo grew up in Jamaica before moving to the United States just before high school, and now will return home with hopes of representing their home country in Paris later this summer.

Both Jamal and Jamel qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships individually, with Jamal running the 100m in Eugene and Jamel running the 400.

Jamal owns a career-best time of 10.15 (0.7) in the 100m, set this season at the NCAA East Prelim semifinal race. Jamel's best time in the 200 came in May of 2023 at the Big South Championships, with a time of 20.37 (0.8).
