Update on Cedric Mullins, Zach Neto, Ryan Thompson and other #ProHumps

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell baseball has 16 former players throughout the MLB and minor leagues. Below is an update on each of the players as they near the halfway points in their seasons.

MLB

Cedric Mullins – Baltimore Orioles

Mullins continues to be a mainstay at center field for the Baltimore Orioles, appearing in 54 of the team's first 58 games. He's slashing .181/.225/.319 with six home runs and 22 RBI. The former Gold Glove winner continues to be a force on defense, converting all 88 of his chances (87 putouts, one assist).

Zach Neto – Los Angeles Angels

Neto has appeared in 59 games for the Los Angeles Angels, making 58 starts at shortstop. He has recorded 50 hits and six home runs while slashing .248/.296/.401. Defensively, Neto has a .977 fielding percentage and has helped turn 30 double plays.

Ryan Thompson – Arizona Diamondbacks

Thompson has a 3-2 record out of the bullpen for the reigning National League Champions. He's pitched 25.0 innings in 23 appearances with an ERA of 1.08. That is the third-best mark out of the bullpen for the Diamondbacks, but it's the best ERA of pitchers who have thrown 25 or more innings. He's allowed only two walks to 20 strikeouts and holds a WHIP of 0.96.

Triple-A

Allan Winans is with the Gwinnett Stripers (Atlanta Braves). He has a 3-3 record in seven starts this year with 33 strikeouts. He was called up to the majors and made one start for the Braves this year, throwing five innings against the New York Mets on April 11.

Double-A

Three former Camels are in Double-A ranks. Thomas Harrington is with the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates). After missing the start of the year with an injury, Harrington has made five starts (0-0) with a 2.29 ERA and 20 strikeouts and holding opposing batters to a .191 average.

Seth Johnson is pitching for the Bowie Baysox (Orioles). He has an ERA of 3.03 in 10 starts with 39 strikeouts and a 1.43 WHIP.

Spencer Packard is hitting .293/.401/.408 for the Arkansas Travelers (Seattle Mariners). He is the team leader in batting average and RBI, totaling 28 at this point in the season.

Single-A / High-A

Aaron Rund – Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Milwaukee Brewers) | 1-0, 18.1 IP, 1.47 ERA

Rookie League

Ryan Chasse – FCL Blue Jays (Blue Jays) | 0-1, 4.0 IP, 9.00 ERA
