Camels visit Hampton Thursday night

BUIES CREEK - Campbell continues CAA play Thursday night at Hampton. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on FloCollege as well as the audio call on GoCamels.com and The Varsity Network App.

Series History
Campbell is 10-7 all-time against the Pirates after splitting last seasons meetings where both road teams picked up wins. Jasin Sinani had a solid outing at Hampton last season, scoring 18 points and knocking down three three-pointers in the 80-69 win on Jan. 6, 2024.

Last Time Out
Campbell fell 77-69 at UNCW on Saturday night in Wilmington. Colby Duggan continued his hot stretch with 22 points on 11-16 FG, but it wasn't enough for the shorthanded Camels.

CU struggled with UNCW's size and surrendered 16 offensive rebounds while the Seahawks went 27-33 at the foul line on the night to stay a few points ahead of Campbell for most of the contest. The last five meetings with UNCW have been decided by 10 or fewer points.

Scouting the Pirates
Hampton carries an 8-7, 1-2 record into Thursday night's game, coming off back-to-back losses at Charleston and Elon. The Pirates CAA win came in the standalone CAA opener against NC A&T on Dec. 3.

The offense runs through Noah Farrakhan, a grad-student guard that leads the team in both scoring (13.1) and assists (2.9). George Beale Jr. also averages double figures with 12.1 ppg on better than 40% from beyond the arc.

Hampton is led by Ivan Thomas in his first year at the helm. The team was picked to finish 14th in the CAA preseason poll.

Looking Ahead
Campbell gets the weekend off before facing Elon Monday night at 9 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
