Scouting USC Upstate: The Spartans have lost five in a row coming into their contest in Buies Creek, scoring just three goals in that span. Oskar Kaufmann leads the team with five goals, and Vitalis Takawira Jr. has three goals and five assists. Jarrett Wuerslin has played all but 45 minutes this season in goal. He has a 2.00 GAA and a 0.675 save percentage while facing 220 shots. Michael Antoniewicz is in his first season leading the squad, which was picked to finish fifth in the Big South Preseason Poll.

Series History: This is the first matchup since 2022 between the Spartans and the Camels. CU holds a winning record of 8-1-3 in the series.

Postseason Participation: The Fighting Camels have clinched their spot in the CAA Tournament as one of the top three teams in the South Division. Elon has also clinched its spot, while UNCW and Charleston battle it out for the final spot in the division. All three seeds are up for grabs for Campbell with two CAA games remaining.

In the Rankings: The Camels are No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region Rankings this week. They are joined by fellow CAA members Hofstra (No. 4), Elon (No. 5), Drexel (No. 8) and Monmouth (No. 9).

Camels receive Laurels: Kristijan Bandur (10/6) and
Daniel Santos Rosa (10/13) won back-to-back CAA Offensive Player of the Week awards.

Caught 100: Dustin Fonder became the third coach in Campbell history to surpass the century mark, joining Derrick Leeson (101 wins, 1991-2001) and Jim Cole (138 wins, '63-'75). Fonder has the most wins in CU's Division I era, as Cole coached during Campbell's time in the NAIA.

Top of the League: The Camels are first in the CAA in goals (27) goal differential (13) and points per game (5.27).
Max Leviton is third in the CAA in goals against average (0.970) and fourth in save percentage (0.735).
Ethan Roberts is third in total goals (5) and third in game-winning goals (2).

Dapaah and Matos earn Preseason Honors: Filipe Matos and
Evans Dapaah were named to the Preseason All-CAA Team as voted on by the coaches. Matos led the Camels in goals and points last year, while Dapaah was a strong mainstay within the Campbell midfield.

Returning Experience: Five Camels that recorded over 1,000 minutes in 2024 make their return to Eakes for the 2025 season.
