BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell is set for its regular season finale tomorrow, as the Camels and Seahawks return to Buies Creek to finish the contest that began on September 6 before lightning in the area forced a postponement. The action will resume in the 29th minute with the score still 0-0.

Match Recap: The two squads were still feeling each other out when the match was called last month. Campbell recorded the only shot, which did not find the frame. Each team was whistled for four fouls with no cards. UNCW was called for offsides once, while Campbell created three corner kick opportunities. Neither team made a substitution.
Scouting UNCW: The Seahawks last played on Oct. 21, a 6-0 loss at the hands of (RV) Clemson. Their last CAA match was their come-from-behind effort against Campbell, when Ethan Newsome scored the winning goal in the 87th minute. Trey Smiley has played every minute of the season except nine in goal. He has a 1.86 GAA with a 0.676 save percentage.
Series History: Campbell holds a slim 28-26-4 lead in the overall series, but UNCW came from behind to win 3-2 on Oct. 18.
Clinching Situation: Campbell will clinch the No. 1 seed in the south division with a win or draw. UNCW will clinch its postseason berth with a win.
Last Time Out: The Camels came away with a 2-1 victory over Elon, Saturday night at Eakes. It's the first time all season the Phoenix allowed more than a single goal in a match.

Filipe Matos rippled the nets for Campbell, as the Camels moved into first place in the CAA South Division.
Postseason Participation: The Fighting Camels have clinched their spot in the CAA Tournament as one of the top three teams in the South Division. Elon has also clinched its spot, while UNCW and Charleston battle it out for the final spot in the division. All three seeds are up for grabs for Campbell with one CAA game remaining.
In the Rankings: The Camels are No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region Rankings this week. They are joined by fellow CAA members Hofstra (No. 1), Elon (No. 7), Drexel (No. 9) and Monmouth (No. 10).
Camels receive Laurels: Kristijan Bandur (10/6) and
Daniel Santos Rosa (10/13) won back-to-back CAA Offensive Player of the Week awards.
Caught 100: Dustin Fonder became the third coach in Campbell history to surpass the century mark, joining Derrick Leeson (101 wins, 1991-2001) and Jim Cole (138 wins, '63-'75). Fonder has the most wins in CU's Division I era, as Cole coached during Campbell's time in the NAIA.
Top of the League: The Camels are first in the CAA in goals (32) and assists (30) and second in goal differential (14) and points per game (5.53).
Max Leviton is third in the CAA in goals against average (1.039) and fifth in save percentage (0.704).
Ethan Roberts is third in total goals (7).
Daniel Santos Rosa is fourth in the league with five assists.
Last Season: The Camels improved on their 2023 season with an 8-6-4 record in 2024 (3-4-1 in CAA play). Returning defender
Luc Lavielle was named to the CAA All-Freshman team, while
Owen Mikoy was a second-team honoree and
Daniel Osei-Tutu earned third-team recognition.
New to the Creek: Campbell welcomes 12 new faces to its team in 2024. This year's freshman class includes forwards
Dani Giovannetti,
Auggie Squillace,
Skyler Wright,
Kana Dube and
Kristijan Bandur. Defender
Ronnie Garcia also joins the freshman class. Transfers
Sam Sery,
Xander Martin,
Zane Pederson,
Kairi Saito,

Dapaah and Matos earn Preseason Honors: Filipe Matos and
Evans Dapaah were named to the Preseason All-CAA Team as voted on by the coaches. Matos led the Camels in goals and points last year, while Dapaah was a strong mainstay within the Campbell midfield.
Returning Experience: Five Camels that recorded over 1,000 minutes in 2024 make their return to Eakes for the 2025 season.
