Campbell hosts Ball State on Sunday

BUIES CREEK - Campbell is set to host MAC foe Ball State for the first time in Gore Arena Sunday afternoon. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on FloCollege.

Series History
The Camels and Cardinals have met just once, a 1990 matchup during an MTE at Ball State. The hosting Cardinals beat Campbell 85-55. Campbell is 1-0 against the Mid-American Conference this year with an early win over Western Michigan.

Last Time Out
Campbell had a historic outing last Sunday, topping Virginia Lynchburg 149-62. Campbell set program records for scoring (149), rebounding (70) and assists (41) among numerous other records during the game. 

Chris Fields Jr. recorded the first triple-double in program history with 23 points, 22 rebounds, and 11 assists. His 22 boards were also good for a program record, giving him the first 20-20 game in program history as well. 

Scouting The Cardinals
Ball State enters at 3-7, coming off back-to-back losses to Evansville and South Dakota State. The Cardinals last win was an 11-point victory over Le Moyne. 

Davion Hill leads a balanced offense with 11.5 points per game, the most among six players averaging better than 7.0 ppg. It's a similar picture on the glass, with six players averaging between 3.0 and 4.8 rebounds per game. 

The Cardinals were picked eighth in the MAC preseason poll under head coach Michael Lewis in his fourth year with the program.

Campbell faces two more high-major road tests, beginning with No. 8 Gonzaga on Wednesday. Tip-off in Spokane, Wash. is slated for 9pm ET/6pm PT on ESPN+/
