Camels visit NC A&T Thursday

BUIES CREEK - The Camels face NC A&T Thursday night for the second time this season, this one on the road in Greensboro. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on FloCollege, with radio available on GoCamels.com and The Varsity Network App.

Previous Meeting
Campbell beat NC A&T 66-62 on Feb. 10 in Buies Creek. The Camels trailed by five at the half before shooting better than 70% in the second half to earn the comeback win. Colby Duggan led the way with a game-high 26 points. Jahnathan Lamothe was a handful on the other side for A&T with 20 points and 17 rebounds.

That game, streamed nationally on CBSSN, saw the largest crowd in Gore Arena in the post-covid era.

Last Time Out
Campbell shot 74% in the second half to defeat Delaware 96-91 in Newark, Del. The Blue Hens connected on nine three-pointers in the first half, but Campbell managed to hang around and trail by only eight at halftime.

Duggan took over the game in the second half, scoring 23 of his career-high 33 points after halftime, including 11 straight for Campbell during a two-minute stretch. Tasos Cook also turned in a career-high 19 points to help complete the comeback.

Scouting the Aggies
NC A&T enters with a 5-22, 1-13 record, following a split weekend that featured their first league win at Elon. Despite only one league win, 10 of A&T's 13 league losses have been by 10 points or less.

Lamothe has been the leading scorer of late, scoring 20+ in four of his last five games, including two double-double efforts and the game-winning bucket at Elon. Nikolaos Chitikoudis remains the CAA leader in rebounding with 9.0 boards per game.

Campbell returns home to host first-place Towson Saturday at 2 o'clock. That one will be streamed on FloCollege.
