Camels host Towson Saturday

BUIES CREEK - Campbell returns home following three straight road games to host first-place Towson Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on FloCollege.

Series History
The Camels and Tigers renewed the series last season, Campbell's first in the CAA, after a 20-year hiatus in meetings. Campbell is 4-5 all-time against Towson, with the first eight meetings being played between 1980-1994.

Towson handled Campbell last season in Maryland with a 77-43 win in what turned out to be Campbell's largest defeat of the season.

Last Time Out
Campbell fell 53-50 Thursday night at NC A&T. The Camels didn't shoot it well, with a 39% mark from the floor and only 15% from downtown. Colby Duggan scored 18 for the Camels to remain atop the CAA scoring charts in league play.

Campbell's 50 points was its fewest of the season, coming on the heels of a 96-point outing at Delaware, the highest mark of the year.

Scouting the Tigers
Towson leads the CAA with a 18-10, 13-2 record. The Tigers saw their 12-game win streak snapped Thursday night at Elon in a 69-63 loss.

Towson boasts the league's best scoring defense, allowing only 65.4 points per game and is the only team ahead of Campbell (66.0). The offense is led by Tyler Tejada, averaging 16.8 ppg to lead three players in double figures.

The Tigers were picked to win the league in the CAA's preseason poll and are led by Pat Skerry in his 14th year at the helm.

Looking Ahead
Next weekend rounds out the 2024-25 regular season. The Camels host UNCW Thursday at 7 p.m. and visit Charleston Saturday at 6 p.m. to round out the year.
