Campbell has multiple top four finishes at CAA Indoor Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Lamont Victoria placed first in the men's high jump at the CAA Indoor Championship, and Kaleb Johnson, Omare McBride, Autumn Judd, and Emily Pierce all received top four finishes as well. 

IN THE FIELD
Lamont Victoria placed first in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.11m, which is also the CAA Indoor Championship meet record. Kaleb Johnson placed second with a mark of 2.05m. Coach Evan Darm said, "Coach Hostler has done a great job working to elevate the high jumpers. Lamont came out and set a CAA meet record with his mark and Kaleb, who is only a sophomore, was right on his heels. These two will look to do some big things this outdoor season." 

Omare McBride placed second in the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.08m. Autumn Judd placed fourth in the women's weight throw with a mark of 16.86m, which was also her personal record. When asked about McBride and Judd, Coach Darm responded, "Autumn has had to overcome a lot this year to be in a position to score. It's great to see her finish with a big PR in weight throw. Omare has been the definition of consistency for us this season. She caps off a stellar career on the podium with a silver medal." 

Reagan Wise placed third in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.65m. Coach Darm stated, "Ever since last year's CAA Indoor Championship and finishing 7th, Reagan has elevated his craft. I believe the third place finish is only his beginning." 
 
ON THE TRACK
Emily Pierce ran a new personal record and placed third in the women's mile with a time of 4:52.55. Coach Darm on Pierce, "Emily has worked relentlessly to earn that bronze medal. She exemplifies what it means to be a leader. She works hard, believes in herself and runs fearlessly."

When asked about the team as a whole, Coach Darm responded, "As a whole, I am happy about the direction of the program. This is a team full of freshmen and sophomores. If we can continue to believe in one another, work hard in training and trust the process, Campbell will continue to rise. The grind continues." 


UP NEXT
The Camels will open their outdoor season on Friday, March 14 at the Phoenix Invitational in Elon, N.C.
