AIKEN, S.C. – Heavy rain halted Monday's opening round of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at Palmetto Golf Club.
 
No. 96 Campbell led the 15-team field by one stroke over No. 71 Clemons just a couple of holes beyond the turn Monday morning when the horn sounded halting play.  The event has been shortened to 36 holes with competition resuming Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.
 
Campbell senior Henric Bjelke was 1-under par through 12 holes on the par-70 Palmetto layout, the nation's second-oldest 18-hole course.  Erik Johansson was 1-over through 11, while Joachim Larsen Tegner and Benjamin Killingstad were plus three through 10.  Douglas Nordlof was 5-over through 11 holes.
