Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. - Campbell is now 4-0 in the CAA after winning the first game against North Carolina A&T 6-2.
The Camels improved to 16-7 (4-0 CAA) for the year, and the Aggies are now 5-17 (0-4 CAA).
Campbell scored one run in the first inning after Charlie Montgomery drew a walk and then scored on a wild pitch. Amber DeSena, who reached base on a walk, and Tyra
Parker, who reached on a fielder's choice, both scored on a catcher error in the third inning. In the fourth inning, Hannah Cornetto hit a two RBI single that scored Montgomery and Parker. Madison Ford hit a single and then also scored on an error in the fifth inning.
The Aggies scored their first run in the fifth inning after Lauren Hardy hit a single to center field, and later scored on a throwing error by Ford. Hardy hit an RBI single in the sixth inning, scoring Ayanna Mears who reached base on a fielder's choice.
Joey Barkhimer (3-7) was credited with the loss after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing eight hits, four earned runs, five walks and five strikeouts.
Hannah Leierer (3-2) was credited with the win after pitching 5.0 innings and allowing four hits, one earned run, and one walk.

The Camels will be playing a doubleheader tomorrow, March 15, at North Carolina A&T to end the CAA series. The game was moved to Saturday from Sunday due to the chance of rain.
