Camels continue 12 game win streak at Towson

Box Score TOWSON, Md. - Campbell rallied in the seventh inning to top Towson 10-8 in game one of the CAA weekend series. 

The Camels improved to 21-7 (7-0 CAA) for the year, and the Tigers are now 12-14 (3-4 CAA). 

Towson scored its first run of the game in the first inning after Cara Bohner hit an RBI groundout, scoring Briyana Wright who reached base after hitting a triple to right field. Campbell answered in the second inning when Alyssa Armijo grounded out, scoring Hannah Cornetto, who reached base on a walk. Haley Krebs hit an RBI single to left field, scoring Amber DeSena, who also reached base after drawing a walk. Cadan Brinkman then hit an RBI triple to bring in Krebs. The Tigers scored two runs in the second inning after Alyssa Myint hit a two RBI double down the left field line. 

Campbell scored one run in the third inning after Cornetto grounded out to third base and Tyra Parker scored. The Camels scored four runs in the fifth inning, with Madison Ford hitting an RBI single to start it off and Cornetto followed up with an RBI fielder's choice. DeSena hit an RBI sac fly, scoring Ford, and Allyiah Swiney hit an RBI triple that scored Cornetto. The Tigers scored five runs in the fifth inning after Taylor Broadbent hit an RBI single, Isabella Canesi hit a two RBI single, Kristin Toland hit an RBI double and Myint reached on an RBI fielder's choice. 

The Camels rallied in the seventh inning and scored two runs to win the game. Parker, who reached base after hitting a single to center field, scored the first of the two runs after she stole third and then went home on a fielding error by third base. Krebs then drew an RBI walk, scoring Cornetto who reached base after being hit by the pitch. 

Alyssa Bostley (3-4) was credited with the loss after pitching 1.1 innings and allowing one hit, one earned run, no walks and one strikeout.

Cassiti Baroni (6-2) was credited with the win after pitching 3.0 innings and allowing three hits, one earned run and one walk.
