Camels finish 5th at Daytona Beach

Johansson, Larsen Tegner log top-10 finishes

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – With a pair of golfers among the top 10 individuals, Campbell placed fifth on the team leader board after Tuesday's final round of the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate at LPGA International.
 
On a day when wind gusts neared 30 miles per hour, scores soared for every team but champion Troy (293-296-289—878), which finished 18 strokes ahead of runner-up and host Stetson.    
 
Erik Johansson, the 2024 CAA rookie of the year, finished sixth (71-74-75—220), his best showing of the season and fourth career top 10 effort in 18 starts.  Fellow sophomore Joachim Larsen Tegner turned in the team's low round of the day and placed seventh (76-71-74—221) for his fourth top 10 of the '24-25 campaign.
 
No. 98 Campbell (291-302-308—901) finished one stroke behind UCF and FAU, and one in front of UNCW on the 7015-yard Arthur Hills Course.
 
Benjamin Killingstad (70-76-81—227) tied for 21st, Henric Bjelke finished T63 (75-84-77—236) and Logan Graf T76 (75-81-89—245).
 
Of the 88 golfers in the field, only individual medalist Brantley Scott (71-72-72—215) of Troy completed the 54-hole event below par.
 
Campbell continues its spring season Mar. 10-11 in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, hosted by USC Aiken at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C.

The Course – LPGA International Arthur Hills Course (Par 72, 6984 yards)
Since 1997, LPGA International's Arthur Hills Signature Course has been a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The Golf Digest 4-Star rated par-72 layout is a classic at 6,984 yards.  Hills used a superb natural setting to create a masterpiece in playability and variety. It features natural wetlands, narrow pine corridors, small greens and strategically placed water hazards.
