BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell fell 4-3 in a close match against Elon on Sunday afternoon at the Nisbet Tennis Center.

Campbell claimed the first doubles match of the day as Luke Tollenaar and Alex Fragasso defeated Elon's Charles Pilet and Juan Sengariz 7-6 (7). The Phoenix claimed the next doubles match as Veljko Krstic and Oskar Antinheimo defeated Thomas Drapeau and Matias Lofink 6-3. Elon eventually claimed the doubles point as Jack Curtis and Rafael Ymer edged Adi Dagan and Aleksandar Hudjec 7-5. 

Krstic defeated Drapeau in No. 1 singles 7-6 (7), 6-1 before Dagan secured the first point of the day for the Camels with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Antinheimo in No. 3 singles. Sengariz picked up another point for the Phoenix with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Lofink at No. 6 singles while Hudjec earned a hard-fought 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 win over Pilet at No. 4 singles.

Fragasso tied the team score at 3-3 with a 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (7) victory over Curtis in No. 5 singles before the Phoenix won the match as Ymer defeated Tollenaar 6-7 (7), 7-5, 6-2

Campbell returns to action back at home Tuesday against Long Island.
