BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Fighting Camels are back home for their Coastal Athletic Association series against Towson, this weekend at Jim Perry Stadium.

Campbell (16-23, 7-8 CAA) is looking to bounce back after a series loss at the hands of William & Mary. The Tigers (13-28, 5-10) have lost their last six games and have won just one conference series so far this season.

Dalen Thompson has been hot at the plate as of late. In the last 10 games, the centerfielder is batting .426 with 20 hits.
Charlie Meglio has also been strong at the plate during that timeframe, recording 16 RBI and a .786 slugging percentage.

Weekend Promotions
Friday – Sandlot Day & t-shirt giveaway. New MBB head coach John Andrzejek will throw out the first pitch. It will also be this season's third edition of Friday Night Fireworks.
Saturday – Diamond Bullpen Club Day and Alumni Day. The team will honor their alumni and donors. Henry Rochelle ('88) will throw out the first pitch.
Sunday – Kids in the Creek Day. Stay after the game and let your children run the bases and receive autographs from select team members.

Series History
This will be the first time the teams face off as CAA opponents. Campbell has won the past four meetings, but the Camels and Tigers have not faced off since 2014.

Know Your Opponent
Brian Heckelman and Max D'Alessandro lead the Tigers at the plate as the only two batters with .300+ batting averages. D'Alessandro paces the team with eight home runs, and Heckelman leads the squad with 28 RBI.

Max Simpson and Dutch DeProspero have each made 10 starts on the mound and each have two wins. Matt Leikus leads the team with 14 appearances.

Matt Tyner is in his seventh season as head coach for Towson. The Tigers and the Camels are the only two CAA teams to beat the league-leaders, Northeastern. Infielder Jordan Peyton was named to the preseason All-CAA Team, and Taye Robinson and Casey Bishop were selected as honorable mentions. The Tigers were selected to finish last in the conference's preseason poll.

th in the NCAA in strikeouts per nine innings (13.18). He leads the CAA in strikeouts looking, with 23.

Schuldt is responsible for two of Campbell's grand slams this year, 3/25 at Charlotte and 4/6 vs. Northeastern.

Campbell has new faces up and down the roster. Headlined by the coaching staff additions of Coach Marx, Coach Stone, Coach LaRue and Coach Kramer, the Camels welcome 23 newcomers on the roster.

The Camels lead the CAA and are 17
th in the country in hit-by-pitches, with 86.
Darnell Parker Jr. accounts for 19, first in the CAA.

Dalen Thompson and Andy Schuldt were named to the All-CAA Preseason Team as honorable mentions.

Century Club
Across the 2022 & 2023 seasons, the Camels recorded 100+ doubles, home runs, stolen bases and HBPs. They were the only team to accomplish this feat in either year. In 2024, Campbell recorded 112 home runs, 103 doubles, 98 stolen bases and 96 HBPs.

When Campbell's 2024 season ended, they were 8th in home runs, 12th in walks, 17th in slugging percentage, 20th in runs per game, and 23rd in OBP.

Replacing The Sheriff
The Camels are looking to replace the production of
Lawson Harrill, who led the team in every major hitting category and set a new school record for career home runs (51).
