Box Score WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Campbell swept Monmouth in the weekend CAA series, winning the final game 8-2.

The Camels improved to 26-11 (12-3 CAA) for the year, and the Hawks are now 9-29 (5-10 CAA).

In the top of the third inning, Hannah Cornetto reached base on a throwing error by the shortstop, and Tyra Parker, who reached base after hitting a single, scored the first run for the Camels. Izzy Bonacci hit an RBI double in the bottom of the third, scoring Samantha Miller, and giving the Hawks their first run of the game. Lexi Castaneda then hit an RBI single that scored Bonacci. 

In the fourth inning, Charlie Montgomery hit a single up the middle, and then scored after Allyiah Swiney hit an RBI triple. The Camels scored four runs in the fifth inning after Parker singled up the middle, and then scored when Madison Ford hit an RBI bunt to shortstop. Montgomery hit a two RBI single down the right field line, scoring Ford and Cornetto. Alyssa Armijo then hit an RBI sacrifice fly that brought in Amber Desena, who reached base on a walk. 

In the sixth inning Ford drew a walk and Cornetto singled down the left field line. Ford and Cornetto went home after DeSena hit a two RBI double to left field. 

Olivia Lewis (2-12) was credited with the loss after pitching 4.0 innings and allowing seven hits, five earned runs, three walks and two strikeouts.

Megan Gregory (7-3) was credited with the win after pitching 4.0 innings and allowing two hits, no runs, three walks and three strikeouts.
