HIGH POINT, N.C. –
Reagan Wise broke his own school record and
Mekhi Dupree notched a pair of top-5 hurdles finishes, leading Campbell on the final day of the VertKlasse Meeting at Vert Stadium, hosted by High Point.
Wise set a Campbell pole vault record, clearing a mark of 5.00 meters, besting his previous mark from earlier this season. Prior to his record-setting performance at the Raleigh Relays, the record was held by Ernie White since 1985 (4.90m). Wise finished 10
th in the event.
In all, Camels set 21 personal or season bests over the weekend.
Dupree notched a pair of top-5 hurdles finishes on Saturday. The sophomore finished runner-up in the men's 200 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 20.43. Dupree also took fifth in the 110 hurdles, clocking in at 14.23.
Next up, Campbell heads to the North Carolina A&T Classic set for April 18 and 19.
