Camels sign Jeremiah Johnson

BUIES CREEK - Campbell and head coach John Andrzejek have signed Jeremiah Johnson, their first signee from the transfer portal this offseason. Johnson comes to The Creek as a sophomore after spending his freshman season at Green Bay. 

Johnson averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game last season for the Phoenix. His 10.5 ppg were good for third on the team. The freshman made 27 starts, the second most starts of any player on the team, and appeared in all but one game.

The 6'3" guard played his best ball late in the season, scoring 20, 18, and a season-high 21 points in his final three games of his freshman campaign. He finished the year shooting 50.5% from the floor, and 79.5% at the foul line.

Johnson was rated a four-star prospect by ESPN following his high school career at PHH Prep, in Phoenix, Ariz. Johnson averaged 18.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game during his senior season at PHH Prep.
