Two Camels to compete at NCAA Regionals

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - Mekhi Dupree and Ticora Gaskin both qualified for this year's NCAA East Regional with marks among the top 50 in the east. The duo will represent the Camels in Jacksonville during regionals, held May 28-31 at Jax Track at Hodges Stadium on the campus of North Florida.

Dupree posted a time of 20.43, the 16th fastest time in the east this spring, at the VertKlasse Meeting on April 4. Dupree will run in the second of six heats in the event slated to start Wednesday at 8:45 p.m.

Gaskin posted a mark of 6.13m in the long jump at the VertKlasse Meeting to log the 45th-best mark in the east. Gaskin will jump with the first flight at regionals set to begin Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

If either Dupree or Gaskin make it beyond East Regionals, the NCAA National Championships will be held June 11-14 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
