Marcellinus commits to Campbell

BUIES CREEK - Daniel Marcellinus has announced his commitment to Campbell. The incoming freshman hails from the state of Abia, Nigeria, and played high school ball in New York and New Jersey.

"Daniel is an important addition to our 2025-26 Campbell team," head coach John Andrzejek said. "This offense maximizes size and strength and Daniel has it in spades. We are excited to get on the court with him and help him to reach his significant potential.

"Off the court, Daniel possesses a maturity that belies his years. He is focused and has his priorities in order: being a great player, strong student and tremendous husband. I know the Creek community will welcome him and his wife, Samantha, with open arms!"

The center checks in at 6'11", 275 lbs, as the tallest current member of the team.

Marcellinus came to the United States during his sophomore year of high school to further pursue his playing career. He first played at Roselle Catholic in Roselle, N.J., before graduating from the Hoosac School in Hoosic, New York.
