BUIES CREEK, N.C. – In the second of three-straight home dates, Campbell will host Bryant in its Coastal Athletic Association home opener on Saturday, September 20. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. under the lights at Barker-Lane Stadium. The game, presented by Pizza Provisions, is a Black Out.
Parking opens at 2:00 p.m., with stadium gates opening at 4:30 p.m.
QUICK HITS
- Saturday's matchup is the second all-time featuring Campbell and Bryant, with the pair last meeting 11/5/22, also as a conference game, but as Big South members. Bryant built a 26-point lead, hanging on 43-37.
- Campbell is 6-10 all-time in home conference openers.
- Campbell is one of 31 FCS programs that will match up against at least two FBS opponents this season, and one of three CAA schools on the list. The Camels also head to NC State on October 4. Only UT Martin will play three FBS opponents this season.
- Campbell begins the 18th season of its modern era of football (since 2008) in 2025.
- Head coach Braxton Harris, the third head coach in Campbell's modern history, begins his second season at the helm in Buies Creek.

- The 2025 Campbell team features 44 total returners and 56 newcomers, including 36 transfers and 20 freshmen.
- Of Campbell's 44 total returners, the team welcomes back 11 total offensive or defensive starters, including six on offense and five on defense.

CAMPBELL FOOTBALL TELEVISED IN FOUR NORTH CAROLINA MARKETS THIS SEASON
Campbell Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with Gray Television to broadcast Campbell Football home games in the Greenville, Wilmington and Charlotte television markets during the 2025 season. The games will also be simulcast in the Raleigh market on WRAL2.
Saturday's game against Bryant will be carried in Greenville, Wilmington and Raleigh.
This exciting collaboration will bring live coverage of five key home games from Barker-Lane Stadium directly to viewers across the region for the first time in Campbell's football program history. The scheduled broadcasts include:

September 20, 6:00 p.m.: Bryant at Campbell
September 27, 3:30 p.m.: Western Carolina at Campbell
November 8, 2:00 p.m.: William & Mary at Campbell

CLEAR BAG POLICY
Campbell University Athletics implements a clear bag policy that regulates the size and type of bag that may be carried into Campbell Athletics facilities, including Barker-Lane Stadium. Fans are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new policies before arriving at the venue to minimize time spent searching bags at security checkpoints.
Bags that are approved include:
• Clear tote bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• One-gallon clear plastic zip-style bags
• Small purses or clutch bags that do not exceed 6.5″ x 4.5"
• Medical or diaper bags must be accompanied by a child
Bags that are not permitted include:
• Backpacks
• Printed pattern or tinted plastic bags
• Drawstring bags
• Fanny packs
• Camera or binocular cases
• Large purses or bags
PEPSI TAILGATE TOWN IS BACK
For the third straight year, Pepsi Tailgate Town is your stop before heading inside Barker-Lane Stadium.
The football pregame experience, which debuted in 2023, is back and better than ever, featuring the same great, convenient location as last year, just outside the Barker-Lane Stadium gates.
Come hang out with other Fighting Camels before the game in the tailgate lots between Barker-Lane Stadium and Stadium View Apartments, where Campbell will host activities for the whole family, including food trucks, inflatables, yard games, music and face painting, as well as events from local businesses and organizations.
Pepsi Tailgate Town fires up three hours before kickoff for all six Campbell home dates this fall, closing just prior to kickoff.
LAST TIME OUT
Evan James' 30-yard touchdown catch with under five minutes to play lifted visiting Furman over Campbell 28-24 in the Camels' 2025 home opener at Barker-Lane Stadium. James' go-ahead TD finished off a 9-play, 80-yard drive for the Paladins, who scored on each of their final four full offensive drives, including three touchdowns.
In a game that featuring seven lead changes, Campbell went out front 24-18 with 14:24 to go in the fourth quarter on
JJ Cowan's second rushing touchdown of the day. Furman answered on its next possession with an Ian Williams 28-yard field goal to cut the Campbell lead to 24-21 at the 11:59 mark, and after a Camel punt, drove for the go-ahead score with 4:50 to play.
The Camels marched as far as the Furman 10-yard line, using 16 plays, but Joshua Stoneking sacked CU QB
Kamden Sixkiller on fourth-and-goal, turning the ball over on downs with just 16 seconds remaining.
James hauled in 10 passes for a game-high 134 yards for the Paladins, notching four catches for 76 yards in the fourth quarter alone. Ja'Keith Hamilton also added 105 yards on seven catches, with QB Trey Hedden completing 26-of-35 passes for 314 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Luke McLaughlin tallied 11 tackles for Furman, with Billy Lewis posting 10 stops, including a tackle for loss. Stoneking, meanwhile, recorded 2.5 sacks for the Paladins.
Sixkiller paced Campbell with 294 yards and a touchdown on 34-of-43 passing, including 13 completions to
Randall King, who finished with 105 yards through the air.
Parker Jones tacked on 56 yards on four grabs, while Cowan rushed for 53 yards on 15 carries with two scores.
LEADING THE CAMELS
Kamden Sixkiller has thrown for 559 yards and two touchdowns, completing 52-of-68 passing (77%), with 415 yards and a TD without a turnover over his has two games.
Randall King, who picked up his second career 100-yard receiving game in week 3's matchup with 105 yards on 13 catches, owns 191 yards on the season with a score.
JJ Cowan has also rushed for 115 yards, combining for a team-high three touchdowns.
Defensively,
Jojo Pace has collected 18 tackles, assisting on a stop for loss, with a forced fumble and a pass breakup, while
Kalen Villanueva also owns 18 stops, and
Brandon Guzman has tallied three breakups with 16 tackles.
THE MATCHUP: BRYANT
The Bulldogs are 2-1 on the season after topping Bentley 42-6 in their home opener and a 27-26 win over FBS-member UMass.
Brennan Myer has thrown for 760 yards (253.3 per game) and five touchdowns with four interceptions, connecting with Zyheem Collick 11 times for 227 yards and three scores. Elijah Elliott has also rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs, while Brandon Perkins leads the defense with 26 tackles, including 2.0 stops for loss.
This will be the second all-time matchup between the Camels and Bulldogs after the two met as members of the Big South Conference on November 5, 2022 at Beirne Stadium in Smithfield, R.I. Bryant led 27-3 (second quarter, 8:11) before Campbell stormed back with 21 fourth quarter points, but fell short, 43-37.
