BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell wrestling team will make its home debut for the 2025-26 season on Saturday, hosting SoCon opponent The Citadel and nonconference foe Rider in a tri-meet at Gore Arena.
Action begins at 11 a.m. with Campbell facing The Citadel, followed by The Citadel against Rider and closing with Campbell versus Rider.

SCOUTING THE CITADEL:
The Citadel enters its first SoCon dual of the season with a 4-5 overall record. The Bulldogs were picked to finish second in the SoCon preseason poll, receiving three first-place votes, and finished as the conference runner-up at last season's SoCon Championships.
The Bulldogs led the league with three selections to the preseason All-SoCon Team. Returning SoCon Most Outstanding Wrestler Thomas Snipes (165) headlines a group of 2025 SoCon champions that also includes Gylon Sims (125) and Carson DesRosier (149).
SCOUTING RIDER:
Rider enters the weekend with a 4-4 overall record and a 2-0 mark in MAC-tion. The Broncs went 9-8 last season and were picked to finish fourth in the MAC preseason poll.
Returning NCAA qualifiers Brock Zurawski (197) and Enrique Munguia (174) headline the Rider lineup. Both were among the five Broncs ranked in the preseason MAC top five at their respective weight classes.

LAST TIME OUT
Campbell faced a demanding slate at the NWCA National Duals in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The Camels dropped duals against (RV) Central Michigan, Harvard and Northern Illinois, along with rematch losses to No. 8 South Dakota State and Bloomsburg.
Sophomore Sawyer Van Rider recorded two individual victories, including a pin, against South Dakota State and Harvard. Sophomore
Kendrick Hodge also earned two wins, defeating an opponent from Central Michigan and securing an overtime victory against Bloomsburg. Graduate student
Logan Heil added two individual wins with victories over Harvard and Bloomsburg.
PRESEASON TALK
Campbell was picked to finish sixth in the Southern Conference preseason poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Camels enter their first season under head coach
TJ Dudley, a three-time All-American who was promoted after serving as a Campbell assistant. Dudley takes over a program that went 7-1 in SoCon duals last season, earning wins over Gardner-Webb, Chattanooga, Davidson, Bellarmine, Presbyterian, VMI and Appalachian State.
