BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell wrestling team opens 2026 this weekend, traveling to Chattanooga, Tenn., for the annual Southern Scuffle, hosted by Chattanooga. 13 Camels are set to compete.

The two-day tournament will be held at McKenzie Arena and begins Saturday, Jan. 3, at 9 a.m. with the Round of 64, Round of 32, Round of 16 and consolation matches. Quarterfinals and additional consolation bouts are scheduled for 6 p.m. Action resumes Sunday, Jan. 4, at 9 a.m. with consolation rounds followed by the semifinals. Medal matches are set to begin at 3 p.m.

The field features a strong group of programs, including American, Appalachian State, Arkansas Little Rock, Army West Point, Bellarmine, Brown, Chattanooga, Cornell, Duke, Maryland, Michigan State, NC State, Oklahoma State, Penn, The Citadel and Virginia.

The Southern Scuffle will be broadcasted live on FloWrestling, with brackets, live results and additional information also available.

PRESEASON TALK

Campbell was picked to finish sixth in the Southern Conference preseason poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.

The Camels enter their first season under head coach TJ Dudley, a three-time All-American who was promoted after serving as a Campbell assistant. Dudley takes over a program that went 7-1 in SoCon duals last season, earning wins over Gardner-Webb, Chattanooga, Davidson, Bellarmine, Presbyterian, VMI and Appalachian State.
