Camels host Northeastern for Harnett County Day

BUIES CREEK - The Camels return to Buies Creek for the CAA home opener against Northeastern Saturday at noon, broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network. All Harnett County residents will receive FREE admission to the game.

Last Time Out
Campbell picked up its first road win of the season with a comeback victory at Monmouth. The Camels closed the game on a 17-8 run over the last seven minutes of action to pick up the three-point win.

DJ Smith led the way with 24 points, while Dovydas Butka logged his fifth double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Scouting the Huskies
Northeastern enters with a 5-8, 1-1 record following a win at NC A&T. The Huskies open up CAA play with three straight games in North Carolina, facing Elon, A&T, and Campbell.

Northeastern is led by Youri Fritz with 12.2 ppg, one of three players averaging double figures. Xander Alarie leads the way on the glass with 5.1 boards per game.

The Huskies are led by Bill Coen in his 20th season at the helm, the longest tenured head coach in the CAA.

Campbell stays home for midweek action, hosting Hampton on Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. That game will be a White Out, with all fans encouraged to wear white for the game.
