BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell softball team returns to Buies Creek after an eight-game road stretch for an Easter weekend CAA series against in-state foe N.C. A&T.
The teams open the series Friday at 5 p.m. and conclude with a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at noon, followed by the finale at 2:30 p.m.
The first 150 fans at Friday's game will receive a rally towel, courtesy of RBL Ventures Inc. Following Saturday's doubleheader, kids and families are invited to participate in a postgame Easter egg hunt.
Live stats for all three games will be available via StatBroadcast. All games will be streamed on FloCollege.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
N.C. A&T enters with a 16-23 overall record and a 3-9 mark in CAA play, sitting fifth in the CAA South. The Aggies are coming off a home series win over Hampton, taking two of three games, and are 2-11 on the road this season.
The Aggies are led by Jose Gonzalez Jr. in his third season. After two 12-win seasons to begin his tenure, Gonzalez Jr. has guided N.C. A&T to 16 wins this season, the most under his leadership and the program's highest total since 2023.
In the circle, Aaliyah Williams and Devin Long have each earned CAA Pitcher of the Week honors. Williams leads the team with a 3.56 ERA and 95 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .236 batting average.
SERIES HISTORY
Campbell leads the all-time series 31-6.
The teams met last season for a three-game series in Greensboro, with the Camels sweeping and outscoring the Aggies 35-6. N.C. A&T's last win in the series came in 2023 in Greensboro, a 2-1 victory. Its last win in Buies Creek was a 1-0 decision in 2017.

Campbell fell 7-1 to No. 19 Duke on Tuesday night at Smith Family Stadium.

Allyiah Swiney notched her 37th career double, moving into a tie for sixth all-time with Jessica Huffman. Sophomore
Emma Slutzah added a pinch-hit single, while junior
Livie Davis scored Campbell's lone run in the fifth inning on a Duke error.
Last weekend, Campbell swept in-state and CAA South foe Elon, marking its second conference sweep of the season, along with a previous sweep of Hampton. Both series wins came on the road.
PUTTING THE LEAGUE ON NOTICE
Charlie Montgomery was named CAA Co-Player of the Week on Feb. 10 following her performance during the Camels' opening weekend. Montgomery slashed .643/.688/.857 in five games at the Campbell Stampede.
Allyiah Swiney earned CAA Player of the Week honors on Feb. 17 after a standout showing at the War Eagle Classic. Swiney posted a .571/.625/.929 slash line in four games against top competition.
Katelyn Hubley was named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week on March 3 for her contributions at the Battle at the Max tournament. Hubley made two starts, earning two wins with nine strikeouts and only two earned runs allowed over 12 innings for a 1.17 ERA.
Hubley earned her second CAA Rookie of the Week nod on March 30. Hubley delivered one of her top performances of the season in Campbell's extra-inning 3-1 victory over Elon on Friday. The Henrico, Va., native tossed all 10 innings and threw 124 pitches in the complete-game victory. The freshman surrendered just one hit and one earned run while striking out eight batters in total, including three in extra innings, to pick up her 10th win of the season.
Montgomery and Swiney's honors marked the second time since joining the CAA that the Camels have claimed back-to-back Player of the Week honors. The first instance came in 2024 with Alyssa Henault (March 25) and Mariana Rodriguez (April 1).
