BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Freshman midfielder Nicholas Vingsgaard was named the CAA Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

A native of Bergen, Norway, Vingsgaard scored the game-winner Saturday night against William & Mary to give Campbell its first victory of the season, doing so against a CAA opponent.

Vingsgaard found the back of the net in the seventh minute, doing so from nearly 30 yards out. His effort curled just enough for the goalkeeper's diving attempt to not be enough to parry it away.

Vingsgaard and the rest of the Camels will be back on the field on Saturday for the season finale at Elon.
