Victoria Tupy led the Camels with 12 kills each, with McCartney notching a double-double adding 11 digs.
Aubree Fernandez added 22 digs, three shy of her season high.
Neither team wanted to give in during the highest-scoring set of the season for the Camels. Campbell went on a 9-0 run to take a late lead at 20-18, and it was back and forth from there. The Camels held four set points, but never cashed in before Hofstra scored three straight to take the opener 30-28.
Hofstra carried the momentum into the second to pull away from Campbell 25-15. Campbell's offense was stagnant, committing nine attack errors and five service errors to help Hofstra to 14 points.
The Camels kept the match alive taking their only set of the weekend 25-23 in the third. The Camels trailed by six in the frame but were able to work back and close the set on an 8-2 run and force a fourth set.

Hofstra was led by Beatriz Braga's match-high 17 kills to go along with 15 digs.
