BUIES CREEK — Left-handed pitcher
Lleyton Grubich was tabbed CAA Pitcher of the Week for his Opening Night performance, as announced by the conference on Monday morning.
The McHenry, Ill., native picks up his first career Pitcher of the Week honors after earning the nod in game one of the series with Cal Poly. He guided the Camels to its first victory of the year with a 5-2 win over the Mustangs on Friday night at Jim Perry Stadium.
The junior limited Cal Poly to one run on five hits over 5.2 innings of work and retired the first eight batters he faced. He shut out the Mustangs over the first five frames and issued just one walk in the outing.
The Camels are back in action tomorrow night welcoming in-state foe East Carolina to Jim Perry Stadium. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. and will be streamed on FloCollege.
