BUIES CREEK, N.C. – For the eighth time this season, the CAA announced that Jasmine Nivar won the CAA Rookie of the Week award on Monday afternoon.
 
Nivar led the Camels with 16 points in their season finale win over Stony Brook to lock in the No. 2 seed for the CAA Championship. She was 6-of-6 at the free throw line, four of which came with less than three minutes remaining in the game. In the first quarter, she converted consecutive three-point plays to cut an eight-point deficit down to two in just 28 seconds. She added a steal and an assist against the Seawolves.
 
In CU's win over Hampton, the Apex native scored eight points with three assists, a steal and three rebounds.  
 
Nivar finished the regular season near the top of multiple statistical categories in the CAA. She was fifth in steals per game, 14^th in blocks, 14^th in free throw percentage, 17^th in scoring, 18^th in three pointers per game and 21^st in assists.
