Music named John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week

BUIES CREEK — Sophomore utility Jett Music was tabbed John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week Award announced by the College Baseball Foundation on Monday afternoon. 

Music batted .545 (6-11) with four homers, seven runs and seven RBI's in Campbell's 4-0 week capped by a CAA sweep at Charleston. He hit .667 (6-9) and went deep in each game at Charleston, going 2-for-2 with a HR and 3 RBI's on Friday and 3-for-3 with a pair of solo shots on Saturday before homering with 2 RBI's on Sunday. Music walked four times to finish with a .786 on base percentage while slugging 2.000.

The John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award is presented annually by the College Baseball Foundation to honor the nation's top combo pitcher-position player. Olerud, who was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, was a standout pitcher and first baseman at Washington State University from 1987 through 1989. The Olerud Award partners with 64 Analytics to assist with the identification of players for the weekly award as well as watch lists.

The Camels return home for its final home stretch of the season as it hosts High Point on Tuesday at Jim Perry Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be streamed on FloCollege.
