BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After finishing as runner-up in the first two events of the season, Campbell continues its fall schedule next week with the Tot Hill Farm Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston at Tot Hill Farm Golf Club in Asheboro.
 
The 54-hole event begins with the first two rounds on Monday, then concludes with Tuesday's final round.  Live scoring will be available at Scoreboard.clippd.com.
 
Campbell opened the season with runner-up finishes at the Golfweek Fall Challenge and the Brittany Kelly Classic.  Through two events, the team's head-to-head record stands at 33-2.
 
At Tot Hill Farm, the Camels will play a Mike Strantz design for the second time this season.  Earlier this year, Strantz's par-72 layout was ranked the No. 7 best course you can play in North Carolina by Golfweek.
 
Eleven of the 12 teams in the field are located in the Carolinas and Virginia, including the top four finishers from last season's Coastal Athletic Association Championship – Charleston, UNCW, Campbell and Elon.
 
Campbell freshman Miah Rivas won the individual title at the Golfweek Fall Challenge then tied for fifth at the Brittany Kelly Classic hosted by Ball State.  Junior Fanni Gronlund, senior Jade Potter, sophomore Linn Svedlund and freshman Yukino Kudo all finished T20 at Ball State.
 
Head coach Val Patino's lineup will be the same as competed at the Brittany Kelly Classic – Rivas, Gronlund, Potter, Kudo and Svedlund.

The Course – Tot Hill Farm GC (Par 72, 6023 yards): Ranked as the No. 7 Best Course You Can Play in North Carolina by Golfweek 2026, Tot Hill Farm Golf Club is a bucket list golf destination experience as architect Mike Strantz intended. Mike's intent on providing visually stunning and challenging designs came from his hero of golf course architecture, Dr. Alistair MacKenzie. From MacKenzie's book The Spirit of St. Andrews, he noted, 'It frequently happens the best holes give rise to the most bitter controversy. It is largely a question of the spirit in which the problem is approached, depending on the player. Whether he looks at it from the 'card and pencil' point of view and condemns anything that disturbs his steady series of 3's or 4's, or whether he approaches it in the 'spirit of adventure.'
 
The Coach: Val Patino is in her third season on the Fighting Camel staff and first a head coach after being promoted from associate head coach this summer.  In two seasons assisting Hall of Fame coach John Crooks, Patino helped lead the Camels to one postseason bid (2025) and a pair of third-place finishes in the Coastal Athletic Conference Championship.  She has mentored 2025 CAA golfer of the year Alicia Olsson and the 2025 CAA rookie of the year Fanni Gronlund.  A former five-time Big Sky all-conference performer at Idaho, Patino was named assistant coach at Campbell in August 2024 and elevated to Associate Head Coach one year later.  She
spent two years as graduate assistant coach at Ball State.
 
The Lineup:
 
Freshman Miah Rivas (Guadalajara, Mexico) leads the team with a 71.3 stroke average and has played par, or better, golf four times in her first six collegiate rounds.  She became the first Campbell women's golfer in program history (since 1989-90) to win her collegiate debut, Sept. 6-8, at the Golfweek Fall Challenge.  At Caledonia, Rivas shot (68-73-69—210) to finish at 3-under par for a one stroke win in the 120-golfer field.  She was named CAA golfer of the week Sept. 9.  Rivas was the 10th Campbell freshman to win a tournament and the first since Isabella Hahne won the Sea Best Intercollegiate in the spring of 2023.  She followed with a T5 (70-72-76—218, +2) showing at the Brittany Kelly Classic.  Rivas has been ranked among the top five players in Mexico and is coming off a summer when she won three tournaments – the National Cup José de Jesús Rodríguez, Mexican Olympics CONADE and the Gaby López Open.

Junior Fanni Gronlund (Kirkkonummi, Finland) owns the 12th-lowest scoring average (min. 50 rounds) in school history (74.93).  She has posted five top-10 finishes in 22 outings.  Gronlund opened the season with a career-best T5 effort (67-75-72—214, +1) at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, where she fired a collegiate-low 67 in the opening round at Caledonia.  She was T20 (77-76-72—225) at the Brittany Kelly Classic and owns the second-lowest scoring average (73.2) on the team with two rounds of par, or better golf.  Gronlund, who led the team with a 74.3 scoring average in '25-26, placed among the top-10 golfers in both the '25 (T10) and '26 (7th) CAA Championship.  Over the summer, Gronlund won the Finnish Strokeplay Championship and led Finland to a fourth-place finish in Women's European Team Championship.  She was named CAA Rookie of the Year in 2025 and is a two-time WGCA All-America Scholar.

Senior Jade Potter (Edinburgh, Scotland) posted her second career top-5 finish at the Golfweek Fall Challenge (72-70-72—214, +1), where she matched her collegiate low score in the second round.  She followed with a T20 effort (75-77-73—225) at the Brittany Kelly Classic and has compiled a 73.2 scoring average through two events.  Potter was a member of the 2026 CAA All-Championship team after turning in a career-best T4 finish at the league tournament.  She compiled a career-best 76.7 scoring average in '25-26. Over the summer, she represented Scotland at the European Ladies Team Championship and Home Internationals.

Freshman Yukino Kudo (Tokyo, Japan) has compiled a 74.3 stroke average through two events.  She made her first collegiate start at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, where she finished T43 (71-76-74—221, +8).  She then notched her first collegiate top-20 finish (T20) at the Brittany Kelly Classic (77-73-75—225).  A graduate of Montverde Academy in Florida, Kudo won the opening event in the 2025 IJGA × NXXT College Pathway Series and competed in the Florida State Girls Junior Championship.  She also won the 2025 Lake Nono Junior Open.

Sophomore Linn Svedlund (Uppsala, Sweden) posted her collegiate best finish (T20) at the Brittany Kelly Classic (79-74-72—225).  Last season, she posted a 78.2 scoring average over 20 rounds and turned in a collegiate-low, even-par 71 at the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate.  She logged a season-best T27 finish at the Edisto Island Invitational.  Svedlund compiled one victory and nine top 10 finishes in 14 World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) events. She was ranked sixth among Swedish U18 girls.
