BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- The Fighting Camels return to action Wednesday, Feb. 21 as Campbell hosts the East Carolina Pirates for a midweek baseball matchup. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. inside Jim Perry Stadium.
Standing-room-only tickets are available for purchase at GoCamels.com, or by calling the Campbell Athletics Ticket Office at (910) 893-1459. The game will be streamed on the Big South Network, and live stats will be provided at GoCamels.com.
Additionally, the first 250 students through the gate will receive a voucher for a free 3/4 sleeve Campbell baseball shirt. Gates open one hour prior to first pitch.
Campbell (0-3) was most recently swept by No. 25 St. John's over the opening weekend.

Zach Minnick led CU with a .364 batting average for the series, hitting 4-for-11 with four singles. Outfielder
Matthew Barefoot went 3-for-12 (.250), slugging a team-high .583 with one double and one home run against the Red Storm. Freshman
Ty Babin saw action at designated hitter, collecting three singles to go 3-for-10 (.300) in his first three games.
Wes Noble is Campbell's strikeout leader, as the right-handed senior fanned six batters over 6.0 innings on Opening Day.

Logan Bender lead the team in ERA (min. 3.0 IP) as all three allowed zero earned runs during the opening series. Bender has held opponents to a .100 batting clip that ranks sixth in the Big South (min. one IP per team game).
Despite an 0-3 record, Campbell's pitching staff was efficient during the opening weekend. The Camels walked just six batters over 28.0 innings (0.21 BB/IP) and allowed a 3.21 team ERA. Last season, CU finished with 290 walks over 503.1 innings (0.58 BB/IP) and gave up a 5.19 ERA.
East Carolina (3-0) swept Western Carolina to open the season last weekend.
Infielders Brady Llloyd and Connor Litton each finished the series hitting 5-for-9 (.556) to lead the Pirates. Litton holds the highest on-base percentage in the American Athletic Conference at .692, while his .889 slugging percentage ranks fifth in the league. First baseman Spencer Brickhouse hit 4-for-12 in the opening weekend, crushing two home runs and tallying a team-high six RBI.
ECU righty Chris Holba (1-0, 0.00 ERA) tallied eight strikeouts to lead ECU over the first three games. Trey Benton posted the Pirates' longest outing of the weekend, fanning seven batters over 5.0 innings pitched. The team finished the series with a 2.33 ERA, 30 strikeouts and just three walks.
Wednesday's game will be the 72nd meeting between the two programs. East Carolina holds a 49-22 advantage over Campbell in the all-time series.
Following the contest, Yale, Western Michgan and Miami (Ohio) will come to Buies Creek for the Campbell Invitational. CU's three-day home tournament is set for Friday through Sunday, Feb. 23-25 at Jim Perry Stadium.
