Snead again named Big South Freshman of the Week

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – For the second time in as many weeks, Campbell's Caleb Snead has been named the Big South's Freshman of the Week.

Snead posted 72 yards and a touchdown on four catches against FBS member Coastal Carolina, leading the Camels in receiving yards for the second consecutive game.

The redshirt freshman from Lynchburg, Va. hauled in a TD catch for the third consecutive game, coming on the Camels' opening drive, an 18-yard pass from Daniel Smith. The score helped Campbell jump out to a 21-10 lead over the Chanticleers. It marked the first time this season that Campbell scored on its opening drive.

Through three games, Snead owns 227 yards and three TDs on nine grabs.

Camels have taken Big South weekly honors five times through three games.

Campbell will host Shaw on September 22 at 6 p.m. at Barker-Lane Stadium. The contest will be the second of four consecutive nonconference home games for the Camels.
