The pre-season Big South defensive player of the year, Betz has started all 11 matches in the central defense and ranks second on the team among field players in minutes (990).

Betz' honor marks the fifth-straight week at least one Campbell player has received Big South recognition.  He was also named the Big South's top defender Sept. 9 and 23.
