BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Winners in five of its last six, Campbell heads to the Chesapeake to take on Hampton for the Camels second weekend of conference play.
Action is set to jump start on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at noon with game two starting 30 minutes after the competition of game one. The three-game slate will round out on Sunday with a sole matchup at 1:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
Campbell (10-15, 2-1 Big South) is coming off a doubleheader sweep over Youngstown State on Wednesday.
In front of the hometown crowd,
Kayla Fredendall belted two home runs on the day and
Christa Hall ripped a walk-off home run to clinch the doubleheader sweep of Youngstown State.
In game one,
Kayla Fredendall and
Megan Mozingo drove in two runs apiece and
Megan Richards tossed her eighth complete game, third straight win as the Camels claimed game one.
Christa Hall crushed a three-run walk-off home run over the left field wall and
Haley Hutchins tabbed a career-high nine strikeouts to secure to sweep.
Heading in the Right Direction
Campbell has won three straight and five of its last six over the extended week stretch. Campbell claimed game two of a doubleheader at East Carolina 10-2 in five innings before clinching its conference-opening series against Winthrop by winning two of three games. The Camels followed with its sweep of Youngstown State on Wednesday.

Scouting Hampton
The Pirates 915-5, 0-0 Big South) is off to their best start in program history. Hampton has won five straight and most recently swept Coppin State in a doubleheader on Wednesday.
The Pirates lead the league as a team in batting average (.325), on-base percentage (.410), and stolen bases (73).
Taylor Warrick ranks second in the Big South in batting average (.419) as well as ranking first in slugging percentage (.790).
